AI in Flight Retailing: Atlas and Alibaba Cloud Win SBR Technology Excellence Award 2025 for AI Innovation in Travel Services
Singapore, April 30, 2025 — Atlas, in partnership with Alibaba Cloud, has been named a winner at the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2025, taking home the award in the AI – Travel Services category. The win recognizes how Atlas is using AI and cloud technology to eliminate long-standing barriers in low-cost flight retailing.
Founded in Singapore and operating globally, Atlas is on a mission to reshape low-cost carriers’ (LCC) retailing through powerful, reliable, and scalable technology. Today, the Atlas AI Solution enables the company to connect travel sellers with 150+ airlines worldwide, offering a complete, streamlined and effective tech solution.
One example is how Atlas’s AI-driven booking and pricing optimization helps to address one of the biggest complications in LCC retailing – fare fluctuations. By predicting fare changes and intelligently balancing between cached data and real-time API calls, Atlas achieves a 97% cache fare accuracy rate and a 99% total fare accuracy rate, while maintaining lightning-fast search response time. In practice, it means reduced friction in the buyer journey, higher conversion rates and an improved customer experience.

With Alibaba Cloud’s high- performance infrastructure and AI technologies, Atlas has reduced operational costs by 45%, scaled to support 50+ global travel sellers and 150+ airlines, and now processes up to 800 million API calls every day through its proprietary Air Travel Retailing and Information Platform (ATRIP).
