About the Role:
As the Head of Data Monetization, you are charged with spearheading the creation and execution of strategies that transform Atlas’s vast data repositories into products that generate value to our customers, elevating their proposition through a mix of data and actionable insights. This role demands a strategic thinker with expertise in data product creation, market analysis, and the development of monetization strategies. Your work will empower our customers with the data they need to excel in the travel industry.
Internal Relationships:
You will support the CEO, CCO and CTO in the creation and delivery of a high growth, high margin data product strategy and portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing & Growth teams to build an industry leading position for our products while working with the Product and Technology teams to deliver products through effective Product Management and Road Map. You will collaborate effectively with team members across the globe and embrace Atlas’ one team culture.
External Relationships:
You will build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and decision makers across our partners globally. You will be responsible for identifying high margin customer segments across the travel eco-system such as travel sellers, airlines & airports, and DMCs. You will represent Atlas professionally and effectively on the global stage.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Data Product Innovation:
- Lead the conception and development of new data products tailored to the needs of the travel eco-system
- Drive the lifecycle of data products from ideation through to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals
2.Monetization Strategy Development:
- Craft and implement innovative monetization strategies, employing a mix of subscription models, licensing, and customized solutions.
- Regularly review pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and adapt to market changes.
3.Partnership Management:
- Identify and engage with potential partners to expand the range and depth of data products.
- Oversee negotiations and manage ongoing relationships to maximize long-term revenue potential.
4.Market Intelligence:
- Continuously analyze the competitive landscape to anticipate market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Utilize customer feedback and usage data to refine product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.
5.Regulatory Compliance and Data Integrity:
- Ensure all data products adhere to international data privacy standards such as GDPR.
- Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity across all offerings.
6.Performance Metrics:
- Define and monitor key performance indicators for data products, adapting strategies to optimize financial performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on revenue, market penetration, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
1.Communication:
- Excellent communication skills to articulate data product value and negotiate with stakeholders.
2.Analytics & Tooling:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform complex data sets into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data management tools and platforms.
3.Leadership & Project Management:
- Proven leadership ability to guide and inspire a team of data professionals.
- Experience managing projects with strategic and operational complexity.
4.Relevant Experience:
- At least five years of experience in a similar role, focusing on data monetization within the travel, aviation, or related sectors.
- A robust track record of developing successful data-driven products and solutions.
